It may seem a little sacrilegious to mention finding God amongst the rubble. The fact is though, is that's where he spends all this time. Simply meaning, he is to be found amongst the rubble of our lives, because that's when we need to find him the most.
Our lives are full of trials, worries and temptations. It becomes a daily task, to fight ourselves through the things that stand in the way of our lives each day. There are stumbling blocks to prevent us from spending time with our families. There are brick walls that we run into when we can't meet our financial needs. Then are the pits of despair when we are sick and weary. Yet amongst all of this, is a light that is so blocked out by the rubble in our lives, we just can't see it.
Have you even wondered why all of a sudden, a person who could be considered to be the most evil person on earth, suddenly becomes transformed into somebody totally different. They become a warm loving human being, always ready to stretch out a helping hand? Sure, at first you are skeptical but as time passes by, you can see the transformation is very real. Its like they have gone from day to night! That is exactly what they have done. They have stepped out of the darkness, into the light of God.
Its not something that is just reserved for the chosen few. The light is there. You just need to push that rubble aside for a moment, so you can see it. Once you do, and you make that first step towards it, there is no looking back. All that rubble in your life may still be there, but one thing is for sure, it won't be in your path. You will walk around it, over it and under it, but as long as you follow the light, you won't stumble over it.
To those that have not had the privilege of meeting God yet, you don't need a formal invitation. You don't need to go to Church to introduce yourself. In fact he has already introduced himself to you, but you have not said hello back yet. It doesn't take much. Just a little, Hello God, I'm here, and I would like to have a chat. So go ahead. Take a few moments to sit down on that pile of rubble, that life has dished out to you, and have a talk with God.
