Toto was formed in 1976, with the group members Jeff Porcaro, David Paich, Steve Lukather, Steve Porcaro, David Hungate and Bobby Kimball. The group has a Rock and Pop style that it is mix with guitars, drums, keyboards and voices. All members choose to name the group TOTO because in latin it means "total" which for them is the representation of their music and their own style. Toto starts his musical career in 1977 with the first album Toto XX that made them won a Grammy nomination for the Best New Artist.
Continuing, Toto has had his most successful era in 1982 with the remarkable album Toto IV, this album was the consecration for the members of the group. Toto record was instantly on the top of the charts with the hits "Rosanna" and "Africa". Toto won six Grammy Awards (in six different categories) with Toto IV album. It was more than a million of copy that has been sold all around the world. After, this period of success Toto had a tough time with their next albums that didn't have the success they were expected for them.
Few years later, the group is going through a new "dark period", when they lost their famous drummer Jeff Porcaro, who died from a heart attack in 1992. After that Toto lost more than a great musician but a very good friend. Even, with all these bad moments the group came out in 2006 with a brand new album called "Falling in between" that appeared as one of the most successful album since Toto IV in 1982.
Now, after a long absence since Toto world tour in 2006, the group is coming back on the front of the stage for the pleasure of our ears. They are going to be on tour from May 16 until July 17. They are starting their tour dates in Japan and they will end up in Italy. Every tour dates are on Toto website, it is time to have a look on the tickets and let's get yours!
