Natural Hair Regrowth Treatments - 7 Homemade Remedies

There is no magical baldness cure, but scientists are working constantly to find a remedy. During the last 20 years great advancements have been made and hopefully more will follow. Natural remedies for thinning hair can be done at home at your leisure. They also give you peace of mind in knowing that you are utilizing safe products on your hair and scalp.

1. Fruits and vegetables like cabbage, apricots, peaches, milk, fish liver oil, carrots and sweet potatoes are Vitamin A rich while vitamin B is present in nuts and green vegetables. Vitamin C is found in most of the citrus fruits like lemons, oranges and strawberries, green peppers, pineapples, kiwi etc., while vitamin E is found in grains, wheat germ oil, nuts, green leafy vegetables, soybeans, dried beans and raw seeds. The antioxidants present in vitamin E protect the cell membranes from damage. Seafood is packed with Vitamin K.

2. Keeping nourishing hair is very important. Massaging the scalp leads to blood circulation to hair follicles. It leads to new hair growth.

3. Another habit that you should try to get rid of, or rather lessen, is brushing your hair too much. Of course, you can see why this would be a problem, since it causes constant pulling on your hair through the entire session. Now, I'm not telling you to stop brushing all together, but try to lessen the brushing of your hair if you're doing it every day, now. It'll actually be better for your scalp this way, and is another really easy natural cure for hair loss that doesn't require any supplies to apply! Try to brush every 2-3 days, if you can.

4. Also try shampooing less often. Most people think that hair needs to be washed everyday, however, it is this constant washing that causes the hair to overproduce oils and feel "dirty." By gradually reducing the number of times per week you wash your hair, your scalp will become accustomed to producing less oil, and therefore your hair will feel clean longer. Thicker hair can go several days without being washed, while fine hair will need to be washed more often.

5. A regular and balanced supply of proteins can prove to be a better food for healthy hair growth, as hair itself is made up of proteins. That is the reason why high protein diet helps hair grow faster. As you know, dairy products like milk and yogurt and poultry products like chicken and eggs along with fish, sprouts, nuts, cheese, pulses and lentils are rich sources of proteins, which encourage fast hair growth and hence, should be included in your diet regularly.

6. Consumption of iron rich food is very necessary. Iron contents rich in egg, fish, red meat, greens should be regularly taken to increase iron content in blood.

7. Use coconut oil to give your strands a deep conditioning. This will strengthen your strands and give them necessary nutrients for growth. Massage the coconut oil into your scalp and strands, after shampooing. Put on a plastic cap and leave it on for at least one hour. The massage will increase circulation to your scalp, which stimulates growth. The coconut oil will prevent the strands from becoming dry, brittle, and susceptible to breakage.
