One of the tourist attractions in Bali which is relatively young at age is Bali Safari. This site is located in Gianyar, just off the coast of Lebih Beach. Like the other Safari Park in Indonesia, Bali Safari is also established by PT Taman Safari Indonesia. Bali Safari was officially opened for public on late 2007. This park covers around 40 hectares of land and is home to more than 400 animal of 60 different species.

Bali Safari is no doubt the only place in the island of God' where tourists can experience close encounters with beautiful wildlife from many places around the world, Africa, the continent of Asia and Indonesia. At this park, tourist can find African lions, Sumatran tigers, cheetahs, zebras and rhinos wandering in the wilderness. Take another step and people can also see orangutans swinging in the trees and hippos lazing in Lake Manyara. Shortly, there's enough variety to please everyone in Bali Safari.

After the exhilirating moment of animal sightings, visitors will be directed to elephant village. Here they can watch the elephant conservation education show which re-enacts a true story of the relationship between humans and elephants, especially in Sumatra. All of the story and experiences that have been through is performed in a touching performance that includes the elephants as main actors.

Here at the same village people can also meet cute elephant calves and watch them bathe. After that people will be offered to take the elephant-back safari. This cruise take not more than 30 minutes but visitors are guaranteed will enjoy an unforgettable experience of their lives.

The main path of the Safari park actually houses gorgeous white tigers living in their natural habitat. If people are lucky, they can pose for photos alongside Luna. She is the adorable white tiger cub who usually plays inside the fortress in the morning.

In this Bali Safari these white tigers are shown to educate visitors about the plight of these majestic cats and also to show that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Currently the park is at the frontline of wildlife conservation in Indonesia. The budget for each independent project is fully funded by the park's entrance ticket and souvenir sales.

The Bali Safari Park also exhibits other animals such as the komodo dragon, cockatoos and the endangered Bali Mynah, as well as a large freshwater aquarium. There's a photo booth where people can snap pictures while hugging a lovable orangutan; as well as camel and pony rides.

After long hours under the sun, people can also cool themselves down at the mini waterpark which complete with seven exciting waterslides. Then when afternoon sets in, a magical performance arts show makes a great conclusion to visitors day-trip to the park. This 65-minute show is staged at the Bali Theater. This is the island's first indoor theatrical complex, equipped with advanced multimedia technology, state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems and 1,200 deluxe seating capacity, including a spacious VIP lounge.
