Homemade soaps, also known as handmade soaps, are ones which are crafter by hand from scratch. Homemade soaps use natural ingredients and are gentler on the skin than commercially produced soaps.

The moisture rich components which are present in these natural soaps can make the skin soft and supple. Although the price of homemade soaps, are slightly on the higher side, investing in these soaps is money well spent.

Heavenly Delight Cream Soap Recipe:

This mildly scented soap has got a creamy texture and leaves the skin feeling well hydrated. To make this natural soap, grate one bar of ivory soap. Next melt the soap in a heavy bottomed saucepan with 150ml of distilled water, 15ml of glycerin and 15ml of virgin olive oil. Stir the ingredients in the saucepan till the soap flakes begin to melt and take on a lumpy consistency.

Once the mixture reaches this lumpy state remove the saucepan from the fire and keep it aside. Add two teaspoons of rose essential oil to the mixture and using a hand held electric blender, beat the mixture till it attains a smooth and creamy consistency. Once the soap mixture reaches this shape pour it into pre-prepared molds and allow it set.

Honey Bunny Soap Recipe:

Grate one bar of ivory soap and keep it aside. Next transfer the grated soap to a heavy bottomed saucepan with one ounce of mixed herb water and a good dollop of honey. Place the saucepan over a low flame and stir the ingredients till they melt. Once the ingredients have melted, pour them into bunny shaped soap mold. Allow the soaps to set for at least twenty four hours before using them.

Peachy Delight Soap Recipe:

This soap recipe can leave your skin feeling silky soft. In a heavy bottomed saucepan heat one quarter cup of distilled water. Once the water starts boiling; stir in four ounces of grated castile soap. Keep stirring the soap till it reaches a lumpy consistency.

Now remove the saucepan from the heat and add one tablespoon of virgin olive oil, a quarter cup of full fat milk powder and one eighth teaspoon of peach fragrance oil. Finally add one drop of red food coloring. Blend ingredients well and pour into soap molds.
