Indus Valley civilization was not only among the oldest culture, also it was one civilization which was equally developed in the fields of Arts, crafts, infrastructure, lifestyle, knowledge, Trade and commerce in that era.
The artistic touch was present in the entire city. Indus Valley civilization was impeccable in their sense of town planning. The roads were straight and houses were along the side of the roads. This ancient city was very systematic in their drainage system, the Great Bath at Mohenjodaro and houses having own water supply is still a remarkable example in Artistic Architecture. The people from this culture used wheel in the crafts of pottery, which was a sign of advanced culture. Harappan Potters created a variety of model toys, carts with wheels, animals, birds, statues etc. The Archeological findings from the city concluded that Harappan culture was impressive in their work of Arts and Crafts. The Archeological Heritage discovered from various sites of the Indus Valley Civilization in India and Pakistan Included Paintings, Statues, coins, inscriptions, etc. The famous bronze figure of a dancing girl, an early form of God Shiva and other Goddess structure and statues were found too. They even wore different types of ornaments and jewelry, which were designed skillfully. These reveal the Artistic achievements of the Harappan civilization. The mass from the culture lead a luxurious lifestyle. They were artistic and knowledgeable and have been the backbone of Art and Architecture in India.
