The first ever CarBuyer awards have been announced, the awards focus on running costs, safety, economy, performance and owner satisfaction. The Best Estate Car accolade went to the Skoda Superb Estate, it received a 4.8 rating out of a possible 5 stars. This is not the first award for the Superb Estate; it has one many more in its short production life. On presenting the Best Estate Car award CarBuyer said, "The Superb Estate is the most spacious car in its class, but it's also fantastic to drive - as well as being well-built and impressively luxurious. From the driver's seat, the Estate is just like the hatch, meaning comfortable seats, plenty of space and excellent build quality. Awards are definitely not new to the unconventional Skoda Yeti; it again beat its fierce rivals to be awarded the Best Family Car accolade. CarBuyer said about the Yeti, "A practical and rugged alternative to mainstream family hatchbacks, the Skoda Yeti is a brilliant accessory to everyday life." CarBuyer was particularly impressed by the high-tech 1.2 TSI engine: "With 105bhp [it] should be ample for most buyers, its fine performance backed up with 44mpg economy."
The two CarBuyer awards have helped cement Skoda's successful product line up, no doubt there will be more awards for Skoda this year and long queues to buy Skoda Octavia in oxford.
