If you have a little money on a credit card you can buy a domain name and park it for profit! There are several companies that allow parking for advertisements and you might as well take advantage of this awesome money making opportunity. You just might make a lot of money and buy more domain names! Some people park hundreds of sites so start cashing in now on the online gold rush.
1. PICK A PARKING PLACE You can buy a domain name at several different places. web.com (where you can start a web-site fairly reasonably and get your domain name free-use this if you want a google adsense account as you must have a web-site in order to qualify.) godaddy, networksolutions, and yahoo sell domain names and also have starter web-site packages. So go to the site you want, and search for the name you want. Think google when you search for a name. Money, Sports, Shopping, Beauty, Health. All those keyword names are good for searchers. Go to yahoo.buzz.com to find out what the hottest keywords are, and the hottest searches. Then, try to zone in on a domain name that is popular. 2. BUILD A WEB SITE FOR GOOGLE ADSENSE If the name is available, buy it. Why not buy all the extensions as well. I bought cashflowontheinternet.com .net and .org because I plan to write and sell and e-book. Until then, the sites are parked with google adsense (but again, in order to get an account with google adsense, you must have a web-site, and it cannot be under construction.) I have to admit I'm not particularly happy with the ads google picked for my site. I don't think they match the content and they didn't use my keyword suggestions, so I'm not sure if I'll stay with them. Parked.com is one of the better domain name parking spots I've heard. You must have a minimum of 10 domain names, however, but you can buy them for a lower price in bulk. So, it would be more profitable to by a lot of domain names for a lower price.
3. SET UP PARKING Domain name suppliers usually offer parking. Godaddy charges you a minimal fee and calls it cash parking. I'm not sure if you'll make a profit, but you can try.) If you would like to park your domain with Google Adsense, I recommend that you first build a small legit web-site and put some good content on it. This could help you become approved for google adsense. So once you have your web-site started, and you've got your content on it, apply with google adsense at google.adsense.com. Once you've applied, and have been approved, you have to follow step-by-step instructions to change your DNS settings in order for your domain to point to their site where it will have ads on it. Google has all the instructions in your adsense account. It's tricky, but with practice, you'll figure it out.
4.GENERATE MONEY Now sit back and generate money! Sometimes you will make money and sometimes you won't. Make a twitter, myspace, facebook account with the domain name, why not. Make a blog on blogger with the domain name as well. There are however rules, and I've been finding out more about them just recently. Someone stole my article, I've had articles removed and I'm just waiting for Google to ban me. One thing you cannot do is direct people toward your ads, that is a huge no no. You must adhere to strict policies. As a matter of fact, I don't know if I can even write about this? LOL!!
