subject: What is the perfect role should you take with Adsense? [print this page]

Even though adsense can be seen as an extremely easy way to make money I believe it is a mistake to put all of your eggs in one basket so to speak and concentrate all of your efforts into making websites that show adsense adds. Admittedly it is a good idea to have some of these websites but I would recommend in them only making up a small percentage of your income streams. I dont like the idea of depending on goggle for the majority of my income and should the unthinkable happen and google suddenly withdrew google adsense there would be a great many unhappy people. Another reason is that once your visitors have clicked on the adsense adds they are unlikely to be back. I would much prefer to build a relationship with my visitors so I can make them offers further down the line. I would much rather have my adsense websites just making up a small percentage of my portfolio so if anything did happen it would not have a too drastic effect on my income. On saying that though, there is nothing stopping you putting in a concerted effort into the adsense sites that you do have and it can often be the case that if you concentrate on promoting a few adsense sites you can make just as much money as half heartedly churning them out one after another and not really spending much time on them. Again it is a case of setting out a system for each website and working your way through it such as writing 5 articles and submitting them to ezinearticles on day one, on day two create a squidoo lens to promote the adsense site, etc, etc. Many people dont bother with all of these steps if they are knocking out something like five adsense sites a day.
