Excert:Looking for a job in Administration? What about Medical Admin?

So, you want to start a career in Administration? Maybe a Personal Assistant, Office Assistant or even an Office Manager? While working in an office may not be every Childs dream job it can be a very enjoyable, social and often relaxing career choice. The office staff are often thought of as the information or gossip centre of the business and the first point of contact between the organisation and the general public. However administration is a very broad term and thinking about where to start or what skills will be important can be a daunting idea.

Why not specialise into Medical Administration?

By looking at a specialised area such as Medical admin we can gain a few advantages.

1. Once you are working in the medical industry and have learned the "Lingo" or Medical vocabulary you become a valuable asset to the organisation.

2. Gaining experience in Medical Administration will give you the experience and skills you can transfer into other areas of Business Administration however this does not work so well in reverse with General Admin workers struggling to learn the "Lingo" when trying to break into the Medical field.

3. You walk into a vast diverse community of different Medical Departments, the Private vs Public Medical industries, and multiple Medical Admin Jobs available in each area waiting for you to try.

4. Job security! This may not be a pleasant way to look at things but while people continue to get sick there will always be the need for Medical Personal. A recession is not going to reduce the need to employ doctors or there Administrators. Also while doctors are highly paid and over worked no organisation is going to want to waste there money on having the doctors sitting down with limited computer and word processing skills trying to do there own Admin.
