Local shopping at its best is set to get even better in 2009 with the announcement that MyBoulevarde will undertake an extensive refurbishment of the Dog Rock Shopping Center in Albany.
The $8 Million redevelopment has been designed by Roberts Gardiner Architects and is expected to take 9 months to complete, with an anticipated completion date in September 2009. At the completion of the project Dog Rock will become part of the MyBoulevarde brand of local shopping centers and be renamed, Dog Rock Boulevarde where local shopping is at its best'.
MyBoulevarde is happy to announce that the Dog Rock Albany refurbishment project will include a complete interior and exterior refurbishment of Center. In particular the Woolworths Supermarket and Liquor Store will be upgraded. With the Woolworths store in the Albany, one of the first stores in regional Western Australia to receive the new store concept.
Externally, the Centers' upgrade will include new facades, entry statements and upgraded and modernised signage and the Centers' car park will be resurfaced and redesigned to improve both vehicle and pedestrian traffic flows. Internally, the focus is on improving shopper comfort with the refurbishment including the installation of banquet style seating in central locations on the lower level and a tasteful makeover of the public toilet facilities. With new feature fittings, benches, basins and tap-ware.
Dining at Dog Rock Boulevarde will also be enhanced with the Centers' Caf, Bakery and Ice Creamery tenancies being reconfigured to provide better exposure and access to the Centers' food choices. The Alfresco seating areas will also be improved to create an inviting dining experience for all.
