Lounge on Brixham's Beautiful Beaches

If you have chosen to stay at the Brixham holiday cottages during your vacations in Brixham, then you will be treated to a pleasant view of the surrounding area. Brixham lies on the English Riviera coastline, stretching for over 22 miles. A large number of people, who visit Brixham, arrive with the entire family, their partner or with their group of friends. Brixham is a great place for families and groups of friends, as there's so much to see and do here. The best part is that the upscale holiday cottages are located very close to most of the hotspots in Brixham. Brixham has around 20 different beaches to visit, and most can be seen from the Brixham holiday cottages. You can indulge in thrilling water sports on like kayaking, windsurfing and scuba diving, or you could even lounge on the beach reading a good book. You will also be able to find secluded locations on some beaches, perfect for unwinding or taking a blissful walk. Here are some of the amazing beaches to visit during you stay at the luxurious holiday cottages.

Elberry Cove and Broadsands

Brixham has two very beautiful beaches namely Elberry Cove and Broadsands. Both are easily accessible from the Brixham holiday cottages, either by car or by public transport such as a bus. If you plan to arrive by bus, be sure to catch bus number 118. Alternatively, if you arrive by car, you will find good enough parking spaces that are around half a kilometre away from the beaches. While Elberry Cove is a shingle cove, Broadsands is a sloping, sandy beach. A lot of people go waterskiing during their visit to Elberry Beach. You will also get to see Lord Churston's bathhouse at this beach. Broadsands beach is great if you happen to be travelling with the family, as children will enjoy building sandcastles here. You will find all the basic facilities at these beaches. After a nice day spent at the beach, you will be pleased to head back to the comfort of the holiday cottages.

Shoalstone beach

Shoalstone Beach is also not very far from the Brixham holiday cottages. In fact, you can either take your car there or hop onto bus number 17, the station of which lies very close to the holiday cottages. You should make it a point to depart from the holiday cottages after an early breakfast so that you can make the most of the day at this beach. You can even pack a nice picnic basket to enjoy at Shoalstone Beach. But, it must be noted that this beach has quite a few cafes that serve great food and hot or cold beverages nearby. You will love being on this family-friendly beach, as will the children if you happen to be travelling with them. Shoalstone Beach in particular has a number of open-air pools by the beachside. Children will love to swim in these shallow pools, which have a good number of lifeguards on standby to make sure your children remain safe when they frolic in the water. Since this beach does not allow you to bring your pets, you can always leave them at the pet-friendly Brixham holiday cottages. Make it a point to visit this beach at least once during your stay at the holiday cottages.
