Director Quentin Dupieux is more widely known as the electro-pop musician Mr. Oizo and there's very much a music video influence to Rubber, with some fantastic sequences featuring Robert merely rolling through the desert which wouldn't look out of place on MTV. What would look out of place on MTV is the blood and guts on show there are head explosions a plenty thanks to Roberts telekinetic powers. If there's only one fault I had with the film it's that the "death by vibrating tyre" action gets a little tyring (sic) after a while I just wish we'd seen more head crushing via tyre rather than psychic power, and surely we could have seen a least one head mashing via constricting tyre? A small "fault" in what is a tremendous movie.
Robert, an inanimate tire that has been abandoned in the desert, suddenly and inexplicably comes to life. As Robert roams the bleak landscape, he discovers that he possesses terrifying telepathic powers that give him the ability to destroy anything he wishes without having to move. At first content to prey on small desert creatures and various discarded objects, his attention soon turns to humans, especially a beautiful and mysterious woman who cross his path. Leaving a swath of destruction across the desert landscape, Robert becomes a chaotic force to be reckoned with.
The tyre has got a name, too. He is named, Robert. If it had not been for his name and gracious moves, he would have been referred to as it' and not he'. It is not known if, in the near future, with the world becoming so uncertain these days, a tyre would be able to do, what Robert does or not, but one thing is for sure: Quentin has really stretched his mind as far as the rubber could let him stretch it and conjured a difficult story'. It is not difficult to watch Rubber online though!
Robert has been abandoned in the desert and how unfortunate for someone who did! It's in the desert that he inexplicably comes to life. It would have been too hackneyed had the coming to life' not brought with it a discovery that Robert possesses telepathic powers! The moment he discovers that he has startling powers, he goes ballistic.watch Rubber megavideo
When Robert, an inanimate tire, discovers his destructive telepathic powers, he soon sets his sights on a desert town; in particular, a mysterious woman becomes his obsession.
The Nixon Rubber Player is a relatively new addition to Nixon's stable of watches. You probably are already familiar with the original Player watch.
The Nixon Player is probably the watch maker's signature watch. In other words, it's the watch the everyone knows Nixon by.
I have a beautiful Player watch in silver. It was given to me as a gift for my birthday one year. I felt a little bit flashy when I first started to wear it out, but I quickly got used to the extra bit of shine (and decent weightiness) on my wrist.
