Heading east will take you to the Mar Menor, the largest salt water lake in Europe, with water temperature several degrees warmer than the Med on the other side of the lagoon. Shoppers can enjoy the upmarket malls and retail parks in the nearby cities of Murcia and Cartagena. The Condado de Alhama resort is part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail, a circuit which will provide 9 courses within a radius of 25km. This 18 hole, par 72 course is the principal Signature Course designed for Polaris World by Jack Nicklaus himself, and features sharp changes in elevation and four lakes. A driving range is also available at the Condado site. You can also obtain resident's green fees at the other Polaris World courses in the region which are open being Mar Menor, La Torre, El Valle and Hacienda Riquelme.
