On CW's The Game (moving to BET in 2011), a spinoff of Girlfriends, Melanie Barnett (Tia Mowry) follows her boyfriend Derwin (Pooch Hall) to San Diego where he's heading to play professional football. To go along with Derwin, Melanie gave up a chance at attending Johns Hopkins University for medical school. Together with Runaway, that it was an example of only two series over the new network this is not to be inherited from either of their predecessor networks, The WB and UPN, throughout the network's first season. The series is known as a spinoff of this long-running UPN/CW sitcom.

Magic Johnson tends to make a guest appearance when Jason's golfing buddy. He concerns Melanie's house with Jason zealous because Jason doesn't possess any food and packed with remarks for Tasha, in her do-rag.
Tasha gets drafted for babysitting duty being a favor for Jason. While Tasha's getting her weave retouched, Brittany is on her computer shopping for movies and music. Tasha Mack isn't having any of that. They both have your sharp tongue but Tasha Mack ups Brittany and shows her what a two about esteem. Brittany becomes her bit of slave doing chores around the house.
Melanie's parents are arriving for the house for dining. Derwin isn't excited given that they don't really find along to well. Very well, Derwin is a hit with Melanie's parents surprise, surprise. It seems that Derwin is very generous with gifts Dad got superb playoff seats and Mom got a considerable donation for her charitable trust.
