Dressing Right for Body Boarding

If you live near a body of water and are looking for new ways for fun and amazing exercises, you are in luck! Going into the water is an extremely great way of getting exercise and not too many people know that.

When you go to the beach there are many different ways to get your exercise. The exercise I'm going to be talking about today is called body boarding- and the proper dressing for this sport.

Body boarding may be the perfect sport for if you are looking to get some sun and great cardio for the day! But first, you will need to learn about the proper boy boarding apparel.

First thing you will want to do is check the water to make sure it isn't too cold. Some folks out there will jump headfirst into the water not even thinking about if they are going to need any extra clothing!

If you have decided that the water is not a pleasant swimming temperature then it is decided that you will want a wetsuit.

Second, it is very important to wear the proper socks. Why? Because if you don't have the proper socks your feet will get extremely irritated inside of the fins you'll be wearing.

Speaking of fins, you are going to want the ones that are short and stiff rather than the ones that are long and loose. The short and stiff ones will give you better balance and allow you to move forward faster.

And last, you will want to make sure that you are wearing the proper goggles when body boarding. Some people will say they do not need goggles because they can see well enough underwater and are a strong swimmer but that's just not the case!

Having goggles on will ensure the safety of your eyes. Sunshine will be reflecting off the water and damage your eyes, along with the salt from the sea.

The goggles you will want are goggles that are fog resistant, scratch proof, and can block ultraviolet rays. Understand the type of clothing you need for the specific workout and then go shopping for them! Good luck and stay safe.
