How to Get the Most Out of Your Electronic Cigarette

Are you having trouble getting your batteries and atomizers to last? Does it seem as though your batteries are losing power? Try these seven proven tips to get the most out of your Electronic Cigarette parts.

1. When you get a new Electronic Cigarette Kit or a new atomizer or battery, season your battery and your atomizer before using. Season the atomizer by dropping 2-3 drops of nicotine liquid into the open end of the atomizer. Stand the atomizer on its closed end for 3-5 minutes. Then place the atomizer with the open end down on an absorbent paper such as a paper towel and leave like in that position at least 45 minutes.

2. Screw your battery into the charger. Do not over tighten. Season your battery by giving it a full charge until the red light turns green, or until the light on the end of the battery goes out. Remove the battery from the charger and assemble your Electronic Cigarette by gently screwing the battery onto the atomizer. Do not overtighten. Insert the cartridge containing juice into the open end of the atomizer and draw a full draw on the cartridge. Take 5-6 draws then put the battery back on the charger for 20-30 minutes. Check the cartridge and add more juice if needed. Do not overfill. Reassemble the electronic cigarette and enjoy a pleasant smoke.

3. If you are not using a prefilled cartridge, you will need to fill a cartridge before smoking. This is simple. Take your bottle of nicotine juice and, holding the cartridge with the filling side up, place the bottle tip against the filler and slowly squeeze the bottle gently until you can see the fluid in the filler. Let this soak a minute then add any additional drops needed to the filler. Do not overfill . If there is a rounded top of liquid on the top of the cartridge, you will need to wipe the excess off so that the filler is soaked only as full as the rim of the cartridge. If the cartridge is too full you risk of ruining both the atomizer and the battery by overfilling.

4. To preserve your atomizer, you should clear the liquid from it about twice a week (more if you are a heavy smoker). To do this, remove the cartridge and the battery from the atomizer. On the closed end of the atomizer there is a small hole. Place that end of the atomizer on your lips and blow steadily, but gently, for 5 seconds. Do this 3 times then stand the atomizer, open end down, on a piece of absorbent paper for several hours or overnight. This will remove any excess juice.

5. Optimize your battery life by cleaning the screw mechanism periodically with rubbing alcohol and cotton swaps. This will help you maintain a good connection between the battery and the charger.

6. Clean a weak atomizer by soaking it in carbonated cola overnight. After soaking in the cola, wash out the residue by holding the atomizer under hot water. Be careful to protect your hands. Hold the atomizer with tongs or place it in a cup and allow the atomizer to soak for a few minutes. Allow the atomizer to cool then turn the atomizer over and blow out the residue by placing the closed end to your lips and blowing steadily. Stand the atomizer on its open end on absorbent paper and allow it to dry for several hours. At this point, you will need to reseason your atomizer. This can help your atomizer regain function if the problem is simply residue on the heating element.

7. Never allow your atomizer to overheat by drawing on the electronic cigarette too often or too hard. Usually this occurs when your cartridge is too low on liquid. If your detect a burning sensation or taste, refill your cartridge immediately. If you allow the heating element to get dry it can ruin the taste of your electronic cigarette, and you will not be able to clean away the problem.

By using these seven tips you can prolong the life of your electronic cigarette and have more smoking satisfaction.
