The reason for that is because when it comes doing any kind of project whether it be for example assembling a DIY shed kit or building some other kind of wood project from scratch, instructions these days are a lot more clear and detailed which is great for the person who is not too handy around the house.
Now chances are you're a beginner or you probably haven't attempted to many DIY woodworking projects in your life. So naturally you might be a little intimidated, folks there's nothing wrong with that believe me.
The thing to keep in mind is that whatever you're looking to build or put together, the more prepared you are the better off you will be.
So let's say you have no tools or just the basics, maybe a hammer, tape measure, screw driver, etc. That is a good start however it's a good idea to do a little research online to see what else you will need.
The one thing I can tell you from experience is that it's a real pain in the ass to keep going out and buying stuff when you need it right then. That can be really frustrating especially if you're in a good groove at the time, because by the time you get back you mind might be in different place.

One thing that helped me out tremendously was the fact that I have a good friend who is very handy. I was taught how to do some basic stuff, which as I got better I got a lot of ideas as far as going about doing my own home renovations.
I also got to see what kind of tools he had, and don't get me wrong he has a lot but told me that he didn't buy them all at once. It took several years to build up his collection.
My point is very simple, you don't have to be a skilled professional to do every wood project out there. Like anything else it takes practice, you won't get everything right the first time. As long as you are willing to learn through trial and error you'll do just fine.
