Biologically, the profound ill-effect can be explained as it has been researched that the radioactive isotopes get incorporated in the genetic DNA and thus are passed in to next generations. There require a number of recombination's of the genetic material so that a generation having normal DNA is born.

Now, with an impending danger of leakage from the nuclear reactors ,that have been destabilised due to the earthquake and tsunami, Japan is all set to witness one of the greatest catastrophic event that the mankind has ever witnessed.

This has lead to an important question ISNUCLEAR POWER a boon or a bane for the world. The doubt arise as the nuclear reactor's prerequisites makes it mandatory to be situated near the coastal region.

In the middle of the decade of 2000-2010,the whole south-eastern coastal belt of Asia was badly effected by tsunami that lead to vast destruction which was not confined to a particular country. It was merely luck that none of the nuclear reactors, in the region were damaged. In the year 2000 there was another major earthquake in Gujrat which could lead to leakage form the reactors built in the region.
