How many of you give a poor single mother 'cash in the hand' jobs thinking you are helping the battler. Ohh they need a helping hand because the tax payer subsidies are not enough.
You chose well and married someone well off or educated your self, worked hard and got a good job. They chose to drop out of school or have kids young with unsupporting fathers. Please wake up! This is a choice people make and are not forced to do so but us tax payers are left to pick up the bll.
Yes there are genuine cases but the majority are not. They go unchecked and a lot of money is fed into subsidising the life style of these people and their children.
Many are fom wealthy 'BABY BOOMER' parents that often own a second home but their kids and grand children live in housing commision or rent subsidised housing. These people are very property rich and helf fundbut their kids wholive on welfare and child support payments.
They live with their millonaire parents with their kids and get government support from the tax payer dollars.
The costs of tracking and monitoring this is too high for the government but the payments are very significantaround $35,000 and up per year for a single mother with two kids.
How much does it cost to monitor these people with the technology and computers of today.
To cross reference data bases and see who lives with who and what their income is is easy.
Everything is on a computer today.
Who pays for the mobile phone, what address is it at or who pays for the rates on the property they reside at.
To much money is wasted and for one am tired ofpaying for it.
am not property rich. come from the end of theXY geneation. don't have kids( we can't afford it)am marriedand pay a high tax compared to my 50k per yearincome. My wife works as well on the minimin wage. My brother on the other hand pays $50 per week rent (dad's house) has four kids, lives with his defacto and their government income is 56K per year. Where is the justice in that?
f the government also means tested the parens of these people we would not have to pay so much for other peoples choices in life would we.

Why can't the parents of these childrens children be resposible for their children instead of me and my wife who have no children. Lifein othercountries is not put onto the ones that have no choice or say onto their shoulders.
