Hi everyone! I will write you about how my life has completely changed in one second. My early childhood passed in relative happiness and prosperity if not wealth then at least not poverty. When i entered puberty, a lot of new things i discovered. (But who did't?) You already know: girls, being rebel, smokes, alcohol, sex. After eighth grade elementary school and after the entrance examination for high school something happened to me that has forever changed my life.
It happened 10.08 1989 at the end of summer. My friends and I are back from swimming at Kopika beach and i returned home hungry like a dog. I showered, ate and drank, and went out. I found the part of my clique, few guys and 5-6 pretty girls, and neither there nor here, we all went to a quick sunset swim. We came under the railway bridge under which there is a small sandy beach and i rushed to begin jumping into the Drava River. I had only 14 years and as all adolescents, i loved the proving my seft to girls and showing them long jump i can do. I jumped out 5-6 times in ten minutes from a high sand hill.
After few jumps sand got all wet and slippery. The next jump I remember like it was yesterday. The sun has just gone down while took a running start up to a sand hill and jumped, my leg sliped and i could not put a my hands in front of me. The next thing what happened was that i fell and hit sand bottom of the Drava with my head. I heard awfull sound when I smashed the cervical spine, and i went all limp and began to float. I opend my eyes I saw dark water, heard the buzz of motor boats and felt that i was floating on the river while it carried me away. I was close to panic and i could not move my body.
As the seconds passed indescribable fear left and peace came over me. Just when i started to reconcile with a my fate, i heard that my friends are coming to help me. Someone's hands have caught me, pulled from the water and deposited me on the sand near the water. I could not move at all, mosquitoes are biting me and all my friends said that all will be well and that they called an ambulance. The hospital is located across the river from us and while i was watching ambulance approach something was telling me that they are wrong.
