Top 15 Benefits of Aging in Tranquility

There are many benefits of aging and this list will attempt to describe all (or at least most) of them. So go ahead, read on, and mark down any that I might have missed.1. Reverse Ageism: Kids aren't allowed in bars, so why should non-seniors be allowed in your favorite hangout? Choose a place where you like to go and advocate seniors only.2. Senior Discounts: They're often better than student discounts. Ha! Punk kids.3. AARP: Those museum and movie discounts mentioned above are just the tip of the iceberg when you apply for an AARP membership. 4. Eating Early: Because going to bed on a full stomach is unhealthy and it's hard to get a table at your favorite restaurant at 7:30.5. Adult Diapers: Why not look at incontinence as a good thing? There are a variety of different brands from which to choose, including Depends, Attends Tranquility, Prevail and Surecare.6. Your Kids Take Care of You: If you have good relationships with your children, it's sheer tranquility. Living with your kids or at least calling on them when you need help is great. It's the least they can do after you buttered their bread while they were young.7. Retirement: Golf. Every day? Doing whatever you want? Pursue a creative hobby. Combat boredom by making a bucket list of things to do before you die. Real adventure starts after 65!8. Social Security: When your kids are old, there won't be any left, so you might as well enjoy it now!9. Medicare: As you age and experience health problems, it's nice to know that it won't damage your pocketbook the way it would if you were young. 10. Wisdom: Knowing things the whippersnappers don't is priceless.11. Grandkids: You get all the benefits of children but now you know what to expect. Teaching them and spoiling them is fun and no one, especially not your son or daughter, is going to lecture you about it.12. Less Rush: You have the luxury of time, which means less stress, less rushing and more focusing on what is important to you.13. Quiet: Appreciating nature and quietude are valuable skills that few ungraced with gray know.14. Inner Peace: You are no longer petulant or confused, or insecure or unsure as you were when you were young.15. Meditation: Now that you've been around the block, you know better what life is about. Enjoy remembering your youth and experiences and appreciate all that you have seen and done.Aging is a beautiful thing and it's important to treat it that way.
