Once you have downloaded and launched TidySongs, select "Fix your songs" in the main menu (there are three other options, like "Organize genres", "Add album artwork" and "Find duplicates" I love the last one!).
Once you have clicked on "Fix your songs", you can choose to either Fix misspellings and add missing details to song labels or to Find missing songs.
The first option allows you three things:

The second option, Find missing songs, refers to when you move songs using the folder on your computer instead of from within iTunes: the song can't show up anymore in iTunes when you want to play it and iTunes shows a "!" next to the song.
I must confess that I don't have this problem anymore since I switched from Windows to MAC. I used to move songs from one folder to another when I was on Windows; I don't do it anymore, so I don't have any "!" in my iTunes. Therefore, I haven't really tried this feature, but I'm pretty sure it would work just fine if you need it.
