If you have gathered a lot of songs over time in your iTunes library, you may not be far away from where I stood a couple of weeks ago. I mean that you may have a lot of "Track 01", "Track 02" etc. as well as different spellings for artists names.
All this doesn't make your iTunes library look so well, and above all, it doesn't make it convenient to navigate.
From here, what can you do?
You can probably sort this issue out manually and decide you are going to retype all the artists names that are misspelled by yourself. As for song titles, you may want to go on Amazon and check the titles for all the tracks you are missing, and enter them manually as well.
As we all can imagine, you will eventually get to the point and have a great-looking and easy-to-navigate iTunes library.
The only downfalls are:
It will take you a lot of time to do that. I can tell, as I did it several times: it just gets on my nerves when I click on a track, thinking I'm going to listen to a certain type of music, and something completely different comes up, only because I couldn't remember the approximate length of the song I wanted to listen to and I have no other way to make a distinction between my most recent downloads, as I'm missing the artist name and the album title. So often, on the spur of the moment, I ended up just fixing this manually.
The second downfall is obviously that you can do it once, it doesn't mean you are all set for the rest of your music-listener life: you will probably add other songs to your music library, songs that might come from sources where you don't have the music info available.
So I went online and look up information on the internet: I came across this software that is best-known to help remove duplicates from iTunes, TidySongs actually, that was also something I was looking for as I accumulated a lot of duplicates over the years in my music library.Of course, I immediately decided to try it! The good news is: it works just fine!
