Easy to Follow Woodworking Table Plans

When starting any project it is important to have a proper workspace or area. You will need room for all your tools and supplies plus space for cutting, sanding and basicallyputting your piece together. If you areusing power toolsyou might wantaspotclose to an electrical outlet this will help save time and make the job a whole lot easier. Another thing that will make you next project a lot easier is a woodworking table and using this simple plan will start you off in the right direction.

A good set of woodwork table plans will tell you all the tools and how muchmaterial you will be using. This helps us calculate costs and is helpful in saving money and time.Refering to the woodwork table plans Isee we are going to need a hammer, some nails, a handsaw, measuring tape and some sandpaper togive our table that smooth professional look. These are only the tools we are going to be building with now we need to get our material. You may build your table out of anytype of woodyou desireI chose pine because it is inexpensive and easy to work with. So I am going to need one sheet of 2in solid wood 4ft by 8ft. I also purchased three 4x4 boards 8ft long and three 2x4 boards 8ft long.

An average woodwork tableis about30 - 36 inches if you are shorter or a taller person adjust to comfortability or preference. Sticking with the woodwork table plans I cut the legs to size. I am an average sized person so I cut 6, 34in pieces from the four by fours I bought from the store. Then I cut out the work surface I wanted to use from the 4ft by 8ft solid sheet of wood. Next I mounted the legs to my work surface/tabletop by hammering four nails thru the top of the table into each leg while measuring the distance between each leg so I could identify where I will put the center legs.

After measuring and placing our legs weneed to be sure our table is strong and steady. Following the woodwork table plans and utilizing the 2x4's I got from the hardware store I cut out support braces to put in between each of our 6 legs. Locate the center of each leg and this will determine where you will put your support braces. Nail the support braces between each leg. After that all that's left to do is some gentle sanding to smooth out the rough edges.
