The ideal law firm I want to work for would be the most prestigious and best known for its leadership and dedication to its clients. The hours would be simple, 9-5 and since excellence requires time, overtime would pay 3 1/2 times the normal.

The yearly salary would be 85,000/yr for 0-1 yrs experience and for veterans (like me) it'd be about $250,000-$400k a year. My company would have its own gas station which would provide discounts to employees and their families with proper identification. The benefits of the job would include: health insurance that would cover any and every health concern, 3 week vacations, and paid sick days up to 3 days for employees of 3-7 years and up to five days for those who have been there for 8 years or more, quarterly. The firm would also have parties every 6 months to a year in which it will reward a plaque to the most productive and loyal co-worker.

The boss would establish a friendly relationship with all of his/her employees, but will also continue to illustrate his/her authority without belittling any of their workers. Also, personal matters that do not have anything to do with a case will not be addressed in the presence of the firm. All personal matters will be dealt with on a mature and adult level in which the persons involved will handle on their own time. The firm would also give and have the respect of competitors.

Also, the law firm will never be under investigation for gaining evidence unlawfully. We will work legally each and every time we have a case, or not work at all. Never will the firm have to deal with any embezzling of its funds. My ultimate dream job would have a snack area that does not charge double the original price of the snacks and would not only consist of diet cokes and low fat chips. Visitors wouldnt complain of unsanitary conditions and would feel comfortable speaking with any one they come across. Another important factor would be plants. The firm would only house live plants. Plastic ones trap too much dust and trigger allergies. Also, there would be a daycare near the facility that is run by the firm itself. This would help the single parents that would like for their children to be near them and be properly cared for. The firm would be diverse to show clients that they are in an equal opportunity environment. Parking!! Parking would not be a factor because the firm has paid contractors to build ample parking for its employees, employers, and visitors. We would also provide those seeking a career in the law profession with a tour of our firm. Nothing would be fabricated and all information would be something the person would need to begin their professional careers.About the Author:
