subject: Lost Season 6……. The most eagerly anticipated TV finale ever? [print this page]

The President thinks soThe President thinks so. Its the big season finale, and every man, woman, child and President will be watching Series 6 of Lost in the next few weeks. Even if you dont watch the show you know its coming- the build-up is almost palpable. Will our favourite shipwrecked clan get back on, back off the island? Will Kate choose Sawyer or Jack? Will someone feed that Polar Bear? These questions and many others are hugely anticipated, so much so President Obama might even be moving his State of the Union Address on the 2nd February. Lost producer, Carlton Cuse, posted the following on his Twitter account

In exchange for moving his speech, Damon and I promise to answer ANY questions the president has about LOST. Surely the White House would not change a Presidents speech for a TV show? But this aint a normal TV show as a spokesman seems to have confirmed White House spokesman Robert Gibbs reassured the viewing public at a White House press briefing:

I dont foresee a scenario in which the millions of people that hope to finally get some conclusion in Lost are pre-empted by the president, Im not American and love Obama maybe, I will more likely watch Lost anyway over the speech. For us UK viewers we have to wait a few days, as the Americans are a couple of days ahead. When it does reach our screens, we'll be getting our fix on Fridays this time, starting on Sky 1 at 9pm, 5th February (in the mean time I think I'll be watching season 5 again on Sky Player). I have to conclude that Friday night is normally the night that I may have the odd pint down my local, this is routine for me. But now I find myself changing a habbit of a lifetime for a TV Show! Maybe the Presidents got it right?
