My wife has decided to leave and I don't know where to go from here. Is there any way to save my marriage or is it just too late? Sadly, many men around the world find themselves in this position every day. On some level you feel like the world should just stop turning until you've had a chance to figure out what comes next. Unfortunately, the world isn't that kind. The days keep on coming whether you're ready for them or not. And, you are left to suffer in silence as your world stops while everyone else seems to keep moving forward.
Your world is not at an end. It isn't even, thankfully, at the end you believe it to be. Your marriage isn't over yet. But it is on it's last leg and you have to move fast if you're serious about wanting to save your marriage. You do want to know how to save your marriage, right? That's a good beginning. Wanting it, and knowing that you want it, is half the battle. Now you just have to convince your wife that she wants the same thing. That really is the next step and the most important.
It's not enough for you to want to save your marriage once your wife has decided she wants to leave. You aren't going to be able to talk her into changing her mind either. Women may reserve the right to change their minds on a whim and may do so as often as the wind changes direction but they want to be the one who changes their minds. They do not want to be convinced to change it or talked into it. So, your big challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to convince your wife that it's her idea to save the relationship if you want to get your wife back and save your marriage.
That isn't so easily accomplished however. It requires a certain amount of deviousness in order to properly pull off. But, when done correctly, this can be the most important thing that ever happens to your marriage now and in the future. The main benefit though is that your marriage will have a future if you can accomplish this one small (well maybe not so small) task.
