Pregnancy Symptoms How to Find Out If You Are Carrying A Baby

Have you been trying to have a baby for the past couple of months? This is a wonderful time in a couple's life because they have taken a decision to expand their family. However, this can also be a period of stress especially if you have not had any success in conceiving a child over a long time. You need to know the various symptoms of pregnancy so that you can be sure that your efforts have borne fruit. This is particularly important if you are taking fertility drugs and need to know when to stop the treatment.

One of the first symptoms that you are pregnant is that you experience a slight amount of bleeding. Doctors do not have a proper understanding of why this occurs but it is believed that it happens when the embryo implants itself in the walls of the uterus. Most women confuse this with an early period whereas it is actually a sign that they have conceived a child. If however they are looking out for a sign then this is a very clear one.

Another tell tale sign is the feeling of nausea and lethargy. There are many hormonal changes that your body undergoes just so that it can accommodate and nurture the growing fetus. This creates a veritable cocktail of hormones in your body that cause these feelings of discomfort. Another set of uncomfortable sensations you will feel are headaches. However, most women get over the discomfort simply because they get used to the new sensations.

A sign that you have conceived a child is a sensation of heaviness in your breasts. Your nipples also darken slightly and so do your areolas. There will be a slight amount of pain and tenderness in this area as well. The changes are very slight but they are telling and you should be on the lookout for them.

If you notice more than one of these symptoms at the same time then you can be sure that you are carrying a child. You will have to test your urine in order to be absolutely certain that you are pregnant. Doctors prefer to administer this test after the date your menstrual cycle should have begun. If you go for a urine test before this date then there is a high likelihood that you have a false negative from your test. You should therefore be patient and also look out for other symptoms. The biggest sign of all that you are indeed pregnant is a missed period. You can rely on this symptom of pregnancy only if you are used to having a regular menstrual cycle. A few weeks after your missed period you are likely to have full blown symptoms that are completely unmistakable. This is when most women start suffering from morning sickness that includes a lot of nausea and dizziness.

You can start to rejoice if you recognize one of more of these symptoms because it means that you have finally conceived a child.
