1. Food of Beijing

2. Shanghai food
Shanghai is the most developed city of China. Western culture is popular in the city. As a modern city, Shanghai has a long history. Shanghai food is also representation of south eastern food of China. Like most people in the south, Shanghai people like eating the sweet food. Famous food in Shanghai are Stewed sea cucumber with shrimp roe, Deep-fried shrimps, Braised herring liver, Stewed chicken, Stewed pig intestine.
3. Xian Food
Xian is the ancient capital of many dynasties in history of China. Shaanxi Cuisine, also known as Qin Cuisine, is the representative culinary achievement in the northwest China. In comparison to other Chinese cuisines, it is outstanding in three aspects. Firstly, due to Shaanxi's geographical location in the center of China, various kinds of materials deriving from both north and south China are adopted by Shaanxi Cuisine. Second is the special cooking skills of the local chefs, including Tun (deep-fry), Qiang (fry quickly in hot oil, then cook with sauce and water), Chao (stir-fry), Zheng (cook by use of steam), Dun (braise) and so on. Finally is its frequently use of salt, vinegar, capsicum and garlic, making the savory flavor of sour, spicy and fragrant.
4. Chongqing Food
Chongqing is regarded as a mountain city. Spycy food is the most popular food in Chongqing. When you come to Chongqing, you will not to be surprised to hear that the Chinese believe in the saying 'People make food their Heaven'. It would seem that people in Chongqing are never weary of eating. Thousands of restaurants are scattered throughout every corner of the city, luring customers from home and abroad with their different specialties.
5. Guilin food
Guilin is a small city in South China. Food in Guilin is a mixture of north and the south. If you come to China, you will easiy find many hot pot restaurants on many streets. Spycy food is very popular. Hot pot culture is very popular in Guilin. Many people go to a hot pot restaurants to have dinner. Chicken, duck, fish are the major food in Guilin.
