It is hard to believe that a common disposition like monophobia can plague so many people. Lots of people have undoubtedly suffered from this condition for years, but never knew the term for it. Many people feel this way every day and never know why. The fear of being alone is not very healthy for several reasons. This condition plays on the emotions of some individuals and causes them to conform to a life style or behavior out of the ordinary.
People who do not enjoy spending time alone will subject themselves to a lot of abuse or mistreatment. They tend to stay in relationships that are unhealthy and damaging to their self esteem. What most people cannot deal with is separation. Being away from love ones can be a sad time, even if the separation is for a short time. It is the same way that kids feel when they are dropped off at daycare or school for the first time. The thought of being left alone can be frightening and downright scary.
There is a way to eliminate the need for treatment in regards to therapy and medication. Therapy is too expensive and it involves months of talking to a psychiatrist and popping pills. The easiest and most affordable way to avoid the hassle is to try a natural approach. Millions of people reach out to someone each day out of fear. Sometimes the choices they make while they are going through this transition are not always the right ones.
