Apple recently launched in the Apple iPad 2 in order to replace the original Apple iPad that was highly successful. Now, the company is planning to replace the Apple iPhone 4, which is also highly successful. The reason behind this move from Apple is the growing competition in the form of the Samsung Galaxy S and the HTC Desire HD. The new iPhone 5 is expected to be even better than the iPhone 4, which is widely regarded to be one of the best iPhone models till date. However, given the issues that this iPhone model has faced in terms of the signal issues, Apple has decided to replace it with the iPhone 5.
This new phone is expected to be announced formally by Apple in a few months' time and it currently exists only as a rumour. The one thing that is yet to be seen is the screen size of the new iPhone 5. For long, Apple has taken with the 3.5 inch display for the Apple iPhone, but there are certain section of the media that believes that the new phone will be coming with an improved screen size. This is due to the increased competition that is coming with massive 4.3 inch touch screen displays. It is giving them huge advantage over the Apple iPhone, which has a display measuring only 3.5 inches. However, the difference is not expected to be huge and the new iPhone could be having a display that measures only 3.7 inches in size or even 4 inches in size. It is expected to retain the retina display technology, but will not be taking too long to go for a new technology if the new one is better.
The iPhone 5 is also expected to be very dissimilar to the current version when it comes to the design. It will be having a plastic or even a metal case in the back of the phone in order to avoid the same signal issues that cropped up in the Apple iPhone 4. The massive boost in terms of performance is expected to be provided by the dual core processor that is going to be used in the new phone. There are reports that could be a 1.2 GHz processor, but Apple could stick with the same 1 GHz processor with the addition of dual core technology. This dual core processor is expected to boost the performance massively and the iPhone 5 will be no capable of extreme performance even when playing 1080 p full HD videos.
The camera is also expected to get a major revamp and one should not be certainly surprised with the presence of 1080 p video recording capabilities in the rear camera. One thing that will not be featured in the new iPhone 5 has to be the NFC technology, which has been put forward into the next generation of the Apple iPhone. The prices are set to remain very similar to the current model.
