Some of the popular satellite TV providers in the United States are known for their best programming packages and lower price offers. But how many of us are aware of the fact that behind their lower price offers, they resort to different unethical means to earn higher revenues? In fact, just a handful of people know this scam. And DirecTV, one of the leading satellite TV service providers in the country is one among those providers following malpractices. Yes, the big company is cheating its subscribers and is goofing things up for them. People are really pissed off with this company are gradually switching boats. According to some of them, they would have never subscribed to DirecTV had they known the facts earlier. But the problem is that the company never reveals the truth. It keeps things under cover, employs dubious sales pitch to lure consumers and once they are into contract, enjoys good ride over them.

Giving you complete information on how a DirecTV subscriber was roped into unauthorized charge scam, which was not expected at all. The subscriber has complained that he had cancelled the DirecTV services and had asked the customer representative to send him the box so that he can return the equipment. He also them the complete mailing address so as to avoid any problems. He waited for two days, but did not receive the boxes. When he called up the customer rep, he was clarified that he boxes had been already sent to his address.

However, the subscriber asked them to check the address, which as he suspected was wrong. What really disturbed him was that the representative was incompetent who could not check the proper address and send the boxes. Well, post correction the subscriber received the boxes and still the bill remained pending, which was a great concern, since until they received the equipment they would not send the bill. And the same goes with the subscribers. Until they do not receive the bill, they don't make the payments. Therefore, even this subscriber did not pay the bill, as he didn't get the final settlement bill. As a result, the DirecTV charged him on his debit card even without authorization.

Charging subscribers even without notifying them is unethical, which was performed by DirecTV representatives. However, here the case is worst with the subscriber because he kept on pinging the company for getting the bill, which was once again sent to a wrong address, as was finally revealed (remember, the subscriber had initially provided the right mailing address when boxes were not received by him). But the right address was not updated in the database, which was not subscriber's fault; however, he has to face the problem presently. Truly, this is boggling that when DirecTV rep made the mistake then why subscriber will be penalized for it? Why the subscriber's debit card was charged without giving him any hint that final bill was already dispatched to him? Certainly, DirecTV is playing safe games with consumers at large.
