Federal Resume Writing Tips-Expert Help for Entry-Level Government, Military, and Armed Forces Jobs

Federal Resume Writing Tips Expert Help for Entry-Level Employment with the Government, Military, and Armed Forces:

No matter where you turn, you continue hearing how the economy is flailing, employment is at an all-time low, and it's only expected to get worse. While the market is definitely not in the best shape it's ever been in, this does NOT mean you cannot find employment. In fact, this is an IDEAL time to look for employment in the federal/government industries. Why? Because while full-time positions continue to to dwindle the number of contract government jobs are on the rise. And, by securing a contract position, you will have the chance to get your foot in the door for a future full-time position with benefits and job security.

Remember, the job search is a strategy. It is not as simple anymore as slapping together a resume, calling your buddy, asking for a favor and now you have a full-time position. You have military personnel with 30+ years experience taking jobs at Wal-Mart as a greeter for grossly reduced pay, just to make ends meet. Still, this should NOT deter you. YOU are just starting your careers, and anyway you can get your foot in the door IS your strategy.

A few tips: Take some time to really research USAjobs.gov as well as other federal job sites in order to learn about the new and upcoming contract positions. BE HUMBLE: Nobody starts at the top. While this does not necessarily mean you want to start on the bottom, the key notion is that at least you are starting. It beats sitting at home reading articles like this J

In other words, be proactive. And, most importantly be sure your resume is perfect. While writing a resume is not necessarily an art form, most humble people find it extremely difficult to write about themselves. The purpose of the resume is to make you shine. To show confidence, not cockiness this can be a fine line and crossing it can be ultimate job doom.

Before you pull your hair out, or throw in the towel, consider hiring an experienced certified professional resume writer, certified by either the PARW.

Good Luck!
