My procrastination habits were causing me a severe amount of stress in my life. I was late everywhere I went, I was late with deadlines at work, I had trouble with simple things like having dinner ready on time. I tried to reason with myself and promise myself little bonuses if I could to things on time, but nothing seemed to work.
I searched the web and found an awesome website called Defeating Procrastination. Completing this program was the best thing I've ever done for myself! I learned to identify and deal with my reasons for putting things off until the last minute.
People don't realize how much stress and internal conflict come with never being able to complete anything on time. Something as simple as picking my child up from a skating party would end up causing me an extreme amount of stress. I would always find things that had to be done before I could leave, or I would have to double or triple check that the stove was turned off, or that the front door was locked. All of these things ate up the time that should have been devoted to a comfortable drive to my destination. Instead I would be rushed and would find myself weaving in and out of traffic and running through yellow lights trying to arrive on time.
This system developed by world renowned personal success coach, Lee Milteer, helped me identify my strengths and weaknesses and deal with them accordingly. Once I budgeted my time properly several other aspects of my life improved as well. I actually lost weight, which was an unexpected bonus! Once my stress levels dropped so did my bad eating habits.
I started to feel better about everything, and my winning attitude started bringing about many more positives in my life. Milteer's program is an easy way to deal with a huge problem. People started noticing my attitude change almost immediately which led me to want to continue my progress.
Defeating Procrastination helped me make the changes I needed to be successful and productive in my life, and to cut my stress levels by leaps and bounds!
