Being a mother of four adorable children gives me instant expert party-planner status. For some reason husbands are always in charge of documenting the highlights of the party, video cameras and digital cameras dangling from their necks and wrists. Your best girls, preferably those with kids of their own, can help you look for entertainment, say a caricature artist for parties, and help shop for needed materials like decorations and party favors. Older kids can facilitate the games or help prepare gift bags and prizes.
Keep em Busy
The average attention span of a fiver year old is 15-20 minutes and the duration of your party would be at least four times longer than the above-mentioned figures. Make sure you don't leave the young crowd with nothing to do. Bring out as much child-safe toys and games and make sure every single kid gets to play.
