Your Baby Sleeping The Entire Night

The marital bliss of a newly married couple gets disrupted with the arrival of a baby. Inexperienced parents face the tough task of getting their baby to sleep through the night without getting disturbed. As they have jobs to go back to each morning they would like to enjoy a good night's sleep, but unfortunately the simple task of getting the baby to sleep through the night could turn out to be a nightmare.

Babies keep to their own timings and fall asleep when they feel like it. As they have just emerged from the mother's womb, it would certainly take them some time to settle down in their new environment. There are babies who sleep well during the day but stay awake most of the night making it very difficult for the parents to get their much needed rest. As babies need to be fed every three hours of so they wake up and begin to cry and only when their needs are taken care of do they fall asleep.

To solve the problem of sleepless nights, it would be best to give it some thought and try to figure out why the baby refuses to sleep at night or why the baby cannot stay asleep the whole night. Once you figure this out you could try to deal with the situation.

A continuous noise pattern does not necessarily keep the baby awake, because babies become accustomed to noise patterns and are quite comfortable with the sound once they get used to it. In fact the regular noisy sound could wind up being a source of comfort and security for the baby who will manage to fall asleep despite the noise.

The source of the noise could be from one of your household appliances. You may be surprised at the fact that the baby does not get disturbed by these sounds. In fact when the baby is in the mother's womb it hears noises and the sound of the mother's voice and becomes familiar with them. It is these same noises that prove to be a great deal of to the baby comfort in its new environment.

Other sources of sound that bring the baby comfort and security are the ticking of the clock or the sound of running of water. The child is able to associate the fact these sounds are familiar and the baby could easily drop-off into a peaceful sleep despite the regular household noises. It may in fact be the sound of silence that disturbs the baby.

The idea of crib decorations that have musical melodies is the simple solution of having noise patterns repeat themselves. If they parents feel that these are too expensive, they could easily record their own songs or sounds and play them for the baby.

With the help of a computer it is very easy and cheap to compile you own CD with the voice of the parents singing lullabies and other tunes and playing it for the baby in an attempt to put it to sleep at night.
