Suzuki is a super power in Asia when it comes to car sales, yet they have a limited selection in the UK and in Europe. But they are considering launching their popular D segment model in the UK, and are in the process of evaluating their competitors to see if it would be a fruitful option for them.

The main problem that the vehicle will see in terms of sales is the lack of diesel engine a popular option in the UK. The model, named the Kizashi, is currently popular in Asia and in the USA, and despite the lack of diesel engine it has four wheel drive capacities which the company feel will help to to sell. It is currently available in both a two and four wheel drive, but producers feel that the best ploy would be to only ship it to the UK in a 4x4 capacity, so it will appeal more to people who don't necessarily clock up a lot of miles but more drive on hilly and mountainous terrains,

The car looks a lot more like a saloon than your classic design 4x4, and there may also be a sporty variant to appeal to boy racers and car enthusiasts. The producers intend to appeal more to the niche markets rather than the general UK car buyers, to secure a position in these areas.

The car has plenty of room for four or more people and there is plenty of room in the boot for baggage and shopping. The standard models come with airbags and electric windows.

Suzuki are hoping to propel themselves as a brand into the UK forefront and have themselves known as a reliable brand for powerful and reliable cars, whether it be little city run a rounds or big family brands. By introducing a four wheel drive into the market they are hoping to appeal to another group of people that would not normally purchase the brand, and therefore gain a little more market share.
