Hi everybody. This is only my second blog. I'm still becoming familiar with how these things work and hope in time to get better at writing these things.
My first ever blog was to do with funny T-shirts. In retrospect I should have have called my blog funny T-shirts. But hey, hindsight is always a terrific thing!
We're getting very close to Mothering Sunday now. So that means I have to think of a decent gift for my mum. There's only so many cheap cards and flowers you can throw at an individual. Maybe this year my mum would like to have something different? She's pushing on a bit now, but maybe taking her out quad biking or something equally dangerous might not put a smile on her face. Failing that, I can't really think of anything other than the old cheap card and flowers route. I'm certainly not going to be taking her to a restaurant. Those places are chaotic on such a day.
I wonder if mums all over the world secretly want different things for Mother's Day. I wonder if my mum wants an iPad. Well, mum. Let me break the news to you gently. You're not getting one. Until you can confidently work the DVD player. Any other advancement in technology is frankly not for you.
I don't think my mum is the t-shirt type. Nor do I think she'll get away with wearing cool T-shirts about gaming or films. I can't see my mum going down the shops wearing a big kahuna T-shirt. I also can't see her trying to explain what on earth it means.
But, mums are great, aren't they? We all seem to forget quite quickly exactly how much they looked after us when we were young. How they listened very patiently to us as we rambled on as six-year-olds about something that made no sense whatsoever. How they were aware of all our secrets, all of our fears, all of the things that made us happy. Whereas, our father was vaguely aware there was a small person living in the house. Hey, dad. You know it's true! But no doubt, I'll try to think of something nice to say about you come Father's Day. You're not that bad after all.
If I did decide to buy a funny T-shirts for my mum. Then the best place I have found on the web is http://www.myfunnytshirts.co.uk. They scour the internet for the best and funniest T-shirts at the best prices they can find. Now well worth a visit if you based in the Uk.
Well, that's it for my second blog. What wonderful things will I think to write about in my new one? Who knows? Until then...
