In this way the liturgy, and daily builds up those who are in the Church to make it a holy temple in the Lord, dwelling in the Spirit of God [3], up to the measure of the fullness of Christ [4] at the same time and in a wonderful way strengthens their power to preach Christ. So those who are outside it shows the Church as a sign lifted up among the nations [5], under which the scattered children of God may be gathered together [6], as long as there is one fold and one shepherd [7].Liturgy and ritual3. The sacred synod therefore considered appropriate to draw the following principles concerning the promotion and reform of the liturgy and set of rules for their implementation. This work of redeeming mankind and giving perfect glory to God, which has its prelude in the wonderful works of God among the people of the Old Testament was accomplished by Christ the Lord principally by the paschal mystery of his blessed passion, resurrection from the dead and glorious ascension, whereby "dying he destroyed our death and rising he restored our life" [12].
