The first thing to be considered after the format of the site is decided is the type of site which we are designing. The site should be having good content and a layout without much of graphics for a pure information site alone. We must keep in mind that always less is more for a website to sell. We must be careful when the site is going to be completely flash designed or html based since they need to be ranked. It will be really tough to index sites designed with flash in search engines such as Google which will be known in due course.
The fonts and texts used should be easy to read for eyes. There is no point in using gross fonts which needs long time to go through it. The things which we think as a good looking one in our website might not work out in reality. Black fonts over white fonts should never be used since it will be hard to navigate and will not please your clients.
The people when going through a website will usually take some time (2 to 5 seconds in general) to decide whether or to extend their stay or to logout. It is because of this reason the layout of our website should be nice and interesting. Do not have a website which is clumsy by having all the information in a single page. The entire content should be made into many small paragraphs in writing. It will be really hard to go through a ten page article in a site.

It must be kept in our minds before going for an image selection is that majority of images could not be used without the prior permission of their owner since they are copyright protected. After selecting appropriate images are selected we should make sure that their quality is good. There will be a vast increase in loading time of our site because of using these high quality images which are not usually web-compatible. It will be irritating for a person who usually does not spend enough time initially, waiting for loading of your site.
