Do you know how to be happy with yourself? Most people live the fantasy of wanting to be like someone else.
I've always wondered why it's so hard for people to be truly happy with who they are. It seems like they're not good enough instead they want to look like or sound like someone else.
Don't fail to realize that you are unique and one-of-a-kind. There is no one in the world like you. No one. You have wonderful qualities that set you apart from the rest of the world and you have special gifts to offer that no one else has. Realize instead of focusing on the qualities of others and trying to emulate them.
It's important that you learn how to be happy with yourself. Without realizing it, you perform little miracles each day and you probably don't even know it. You touch lives with your smile, your humor and your presence.
Don't take your true power for granted. Embrace it. You possess qualities that no one else has and you have limitless potential to live the life you've always wanted.
Start today by recognizing and acknowledging how special you really are. Instead of constantly pointing out the qualities that you feel are lacking, such as:
"I'm not good enough"
"I'm too fat"
"I don't have what it takes"
"I'm not smart enough"
Instead, begin to see and accept the beautiful qualities that you do have, instead of criticizing yourself.
That's how to be happy with yourself. Accept that you are a true treasure.
When you look in the mirror, don't look for flaws or imperfections, there aren't any. Those are merely negative thoughts and feelings created by fear of not being good enough.
It's important to know that each and every wrinkle, gray hair and scar makes you a beautiful, one-of-a-kind individual. Love every inch of yourself, every pound of you.
Here is an exercise that you can do to learn how to be happy with yourself.
Each day, stare into your eyes in the mirror. Look into your soul. Tell yourself out loud:
"I love you",
"You are awesome",
"I'm proud of you".
Do this each time you pass a mirror. This is a powerful exercise that will help you affirm just how important you are, to you!
Remember that everything you think, say and feel is an affirmation. Affirm your deep respect for yourself. You've worked hard to be who you are today...be proud of it.
