Gili RAM Disc is blank-dummy application which will create fast and usable RAM disc in less than 5 minutes by creating a map of a certain amount of RAM in a system partition.
Created disk will override system hard drive, which is slow and it will operate in much faster rate than other partitions of hard disc. That partition or disc will be represented by settings created trough step by step wizard.
Install GiliRAM on pc and run the application. Program offers simple wizard to start new project and to create a new RAM disc. This partition is artificial in comparison to other hard drive partitions which can be only created with partition creator or tool It doesn't represent real partition and hard drive will not suffer any consequences if you delete it. No real space will be lost or added to non partitioned space of hard drive.
Create new RAM disc and set its file system, drive letter, disc capacity or mount the image file into the application. It allows a usage of even older file system for loading old games or files which can't be to be saved or stored on new computer without special tool to start them. Mount image is used for games and large music files.
Specify file system, drive letter and size of new drive from a wizard. Choose file system in drop down menu. It can be FAT16, FAT32 or NTFS. Use older file systems only for purpose to run entire RAM drive with older programs. Other files will not be compatible.
Create an Image File in selected folder on computer. Default folder is set in My Documents. It can be change only in beginning but it can't be removed later. If Image File is removed computer will no longer load it as partition.
Press complete button in the wizard. After a few minutes GSRamDisk is created with all normal options in main window. It is possible to copy, paste, delete and share files or entire RAM on net.
Open My Computer in Windows explorer and notice that one more drive is added in Hard Disc drive list. Hard Disc system doesn't recognize that this drive is not physical but fake.

Tips:
Additional fast drive is useful for mount of some old file system which usually doesn't work on modern computers, but it can be useful also for fast access of important applications or mounting game and other things.
If you move Image file to another location your new drive letter will disappear. When you try to move it back it will load extremely faster but the drive letter will not be restored and the whole procedure has to start again.
When system experience restart or even shut down because of security problems or any other malfunction all content of RAM disk is going to be permanently deleted if auto-save feature is disabled. In that way if computer is a victim of virus or malware attack its physical, real hard drive will be protected.
