My Personal Review On Swann SW233-BDM ADW330 Digital Wireless FamilyCam Monitor and Camera
breaking sound quality After doing a lot of research on video monitors finally settled in this case. We have a wireless router and really wanted a video monitor that does not interfere with that. Do not interfere with your router at all, which was a plus. However, my biggest complaint and the reason I decided to go back and go with a different product (Safety 1st True Vision) was the sound function VOX. The parent unit automatically turns off the sound when no sound is detected through the children's unit (the camera). When it detects that the child takes sound that is supposed to automatically switch back and you can hear. If this function actually worked properly, not be so bad. However, when the test began to mourn my baby (very strong) In fact, I heard my daughter crying way down before the microphone picked it up. And sometimes not pick up sound at all. The camera was less than 3 feet in time. During the same test our daughter was playing happily and very few of those sounds were detected either. My husband and I decided to try it with our own voices. Rose to our baby's room and spoke in several volumes. Most of the time the sound will not serve again until it was mid-sentence (which could see her mouth moving on the screen but no sound came out of the unit). After having a sound only monitor for almost 3 years with our oldest daughter we used to have continuous sound cutting in and out (and not picking up sound) was very frustrating for us. It just did not feel like I could trust the work unit and alerts us when our baby was crying. Sleeping with a fan in our bedroom year around white noise, and our nursery are on the other end of the house, so they rely on monitors to listen to them. If there was a way to disable this function, then we should definitely be maintained. Because we like almost everything else about it.
The video was very clear and the color, even a little wash was decent. Night vision worked well. I liked that came with rechargeable batteries (wireless phone type) batteries. The screen was a decent size. The price was good. The camera is easy to adjust. You can press a button to activate the video out and come back automatically when sound is detected (ie if the sound is detected). Do not keep it long enough to test the length of the battery.
So I guess the conclusion is that if you are looking for a video monitor just for the video aspect and not so concerned about sound quality, then this would be a good product. However, if you're like us and want a unit that has both video and sound quality, then I would keep looking. We bought a Safety 1st True View and are happy with it so far. Has some features that would change, but I do not think there is a perfect video monitor on the market right now for a decent price. Hope this was helpful.
