How to Market Your Business for Just Pennies Per Day

Some products such as promotional pens have remained popular year after year because they are needed daily both at work and at home. Other products such as USB flashdrives have become increasing popular but let's face it... they aren't cheap!

The good news is, promoting your business does not need to be expensive. In fact you can do it for just a few pennies every day though your initial spend may be a bit daunting. Let's look at some of the increasingly popular ways this can be done.

Twitter

Twitter is one of the fastest growing social networks that must not ignored. It is important, however to ensure your Twitter presence looks professional. Have a Twitter background designed to show that you mean business. Templates are available online should you choose to do this in-house.

The most important part of participating on Twitter is to be yourself. Interact with people and leave the 'business you' behind. That is not to say you can't let people know what you do from time to time through cheeky comments or links to your blogpost but spamming is a definite no no!

Check your Google analytics and watch as the traffic slowly but surely increases from Twitter to your site.

Quora

Quora is the relatively new Q&A social network. I have personally found it to be an excellent - free - source for traffic to my promotional gift websites and also my hobby cooking blog.

The great thing about Quora is that you must be yourself. You sign in as yourself not your business. You then follow different people and topics. For my promotional gifts side I followed marketing related topics and I have also followed other topics of interest to me such as cooking and karate.

Once you have an account, you can post questions that experts in that area can answer. You can also answer questions you feel you are qualified to answer.

Other members can vote up or down your answers. It is a lot of fun and has every potential to bring targeted traffic to your business.

Facebook

If you do not have a Facebook business page yet, it's time to do so now. Facebook is growing faster that Google. The popularity of your Facebook page will be determined greatly by what it is you do. I have had to work one heck of a lot harder to get people to 'like' my business page that my cooking recipe page.

That said, I have received great and free traffic from both!

Promotional Gifts

I know just how well promotional gifts work to promote businesses because I have seen in happen hundreds of time.

Promotional gifts will cost you more than the other promotional tools mentioned here but they should not cost you an arm and a leg.

Over time promotional items will only cost you pennies per day especially if you order promo-products that are used regularly.

Let's say, for example, you order 1000 good quality plastic logo printed pens for your top 250 customers. If you pay 500 for the pens and then ensure each of your customers get a few, you should expect those pens to be in their offices for three to six months.

This works out at just pennies per customer over a three to six month period.

More expensive gifts such a desk clocks and engraved decanters, though more expensive are generally purchased in lower quantities. Such gifts could remain in your best clients' possession for years.

I'm sure you will agree that over time these logo imprinted products will offer an excellent return on your investment!
