Fox Searchlight Flicks released a brand-new,intense drama motion picture "Black Swan" into movies theaters about four months ago. I saw it,and believed it was highly entertaining, but in an extremely bizarre way. I'm still unsure if I actually know what actually transpired at the conclusion of it. The movie features: Natalie Portman, Vincent Cassel, Mila Kunis, Barbara Hershey, and Winona Ryder.
The flick centered around a woman named Nina who's an extremely focused Ballet dancer who desires intensely to perform her finest performances all the time. Director Thomas Leroy wishes to start up a new version of the swan show, and needs a dancer who can play both the white swan and also the black swan. He is certain Nina has what it takes to pull off the perfect white swan, but has trouble seeing her as a black swan because she can't release and relax.
On the flip side, he eventually picks her for the role, believing she has the talent to accomplish it. Another girl named Lilly is the complete opposite of Nina, and possesses no troubles enveloping the black swan character. Lilly attempts to befriend Nina throughout the movie, but only creates distractions for her that lead her to become Nina's alternate for the show.
The film presented a variety of unusual dream scenario scenes,so much in fact, that it became really hard to tell between reality of the film and her dream sequences. She was frequently falling into a dream. In fact, the flick began with a dream sequence.
A portion of the dream sequences showed her physically starting to transform into a swan with her legs buckling, her stabbing and killing Lilly, slamming the door on her mother's hand,a gay sex scene between her and Lilly, and more.
Additionally, it delivered some highly sexual scenes, but no nudity. The film finished with a very strange ending that cause me to wonder if it was real,or simply another dream sequence. So, I'm still not really quite sure if what I saw truly happened,or if she was merely dreaming again. It was very bizarre.
Regardless of the oddness of the motion picture,it was incredibly entertaining, and captured my attention the entire time. I gave the movie a B+ score.
