These nursing homes will not charge you any fee but they will be signing a contract with you who will make you work only for that nursing home and nowhere else for a certain time duration.After completing your training, you will have to pass an exam to get your certification and after getting your certification you will be able to work. The certification exam will contain two sections. In the first section you will be given a written exam of 50 MCQs and for the second section of exam you will be taken to a ward to deal with certain situations. Normally, A certified nursing assistant works for 5 shifts every week with each shift of 8 hours and in case he/she gets hired for a home patient, he/she would be staying with the patient throughout day but in these cases they get paid more and get some special facilities like accommodation and food, it is not that if they get hired for the private patients or elderly citizen they will not get rest, it is just that during their rest hours they would have to stay at the premises so that they can be called if needed.
