Alex had a tendency to leave bills and things lying around sometimes. One day I came home from my dead-end job, popped open a beer, and noticed that Alex had left his direct deposit payroll slip on the kitchen counter. I couldn't resist. I knew I shouldn't look at it, that I was being nosey but I really wanted to know if he was still making the same crap pay that I laughed at him for accepting!
When I picked up his pay stub and saw what it said, I almost choked on the beer I was drinking! I hadn't even seen the total income yet. All I saw was the Federal Withholding he had paid year-to-date.
It was WAY more than I even hoped to earn that entire year, let alone pay in taxes! I was absolutely shocked that Alex had already paid over $170,000 in taxes - and it was only July! You read that right One Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars... I'm not going to tell you what his income was year-to-date, but I'm sure you can venture a guess.Grab A Copy Click here
Just a few years later, Alex went on to start his own brokerage. Today, Alex has what most of us would consider a great life. He's got a beautiful home, all the 'toys' a guy could ever want, a happy and healthy family - and the time and freedom to enjoy every bit of it. I would guess he brings in around a cool million per year now. And the thing about it is - it hardly ever seems like he's working!
Now, just how does a 22 year old, fresh out of college, end up with both a paycheck and a life like that? What is it about Alex that makes everything so easy for him? What makes him different from most people who spend their lives struggling just to put food on the table?
Is it education or intelligence? Not really. Lots of people have more education than Alex - and he's a smart guy, but I wouldn't say he's a genius or anything
Is it hard work, blood, sweat and tears? No. Most people work hard. Honestly, Alex doesn't really put in that many hours, and he spends most of his time doing the things he enjoys - away from the office. He actually works less than most people making 1/20th of his income.
I asked Alex one time why everything seemed go his way. He couldn't tell me. Even he didn't know why things always worked out in his favor. He said that he always just knew and expected that he would be successful in every area of his life - and somehow it happened.
