"I need help with my life." How many times have you said, thought or heard that statement? I do not think I can even count that high. One thing I know from my own experience and from my experience with my clients during psychic or tarot readings is that when we are in that, "I need help with my life" place, our first reaction is to do something to make something happen. That is the exact opposite of the proper choice. I know that most of us are raised up in an environment of, "get up and do something", "use your head", "money doesn't just show up", etc. The truth is, nothing has to be that hard. Most of the time, when we are wanting something in our life, we have no power to bring it into our lives any faster than the law of right timing will allow anyway. For example, we cannot force someone to give us our dream job. We cannot make that perfect mate come into our path right this second. We cannot make the clearinghouse people show up at our door in the morning. We cannot make our other half behave in a different way. So no matter what actions we take, we cannot change things. We can, however, do what our parents told us not to do. We can play make-believe. We can imagine our lives the way we want them to be.
Make-believe is a very powerful tool. We all know that kids are master at the law of attraction. Rhonda Byrne used a bike in The Secret as an example of children creating. The boy saw that bike in his head, he looked at the picture, and he saw himself riding it. Grandpa bought it. We grow up and learn to get stuck in the minutia of the day-to-day stuff and we do not take time out to just play make-believe. The kid did not sit around worrying about how the bike would come. He didn't question whether the bike would come. He just saw it being his bike. Get out of the details. Get out of the how. The way to do that, for even a little bit a time, is to go to Land of make-believe. What does your perfect life look like? What does it feel like? When you think, "I need help with my life", what part of your life is it that makes you say that? What does life look like if that was a non-issue? It has been proven that our conscious does not know the difference between imagination and reality. Imagine the power of that statement. The old adage, "If you can see it, you can achieve it" applies in a big way.
Here is the part where you may be saying that you cannot even begin to imagine that life. Really? What did the room that you slept in when you were in 10th grade look like? What was your favorite pair of shoes ever in your whole life? Do you remember how they made you feel when you wore them the first day? You absolutely, positively have the power to see your life as you want it to be. You just proved it to yourself. When you say to me, yourself, or anyone else, "I need help with my life", you are actually asking for help. You can help yourself by being just like the kid and the bike. What do you want? How do you want your life to look? Take 5 minutes a day. Sit down. Play make-believe and really go there. Be a kid again when you get used to get completely caught up in the role of the game you were playing. Allow yourself to feel the desire you have for the changes you want to come to your life. You have the power to make anything you want happen. Every spiritual teacher says things like, "Ask and it will be given." By playing make-believe, we send out a really clear signal to the universe of our order. If you are the one saying, "I need help with my life" in your circle, try it. What do you have to lose? You have everything to gain.
