My Personal Review OnPhilips AVENT Baby Monitor with Temperature and Humidity Sensors and New Eco Mode, White
Philips AVENT SCD525 is not as good as the SCD520, 530 I was very disappointed in this monitor. We have a Philips AVENT SCD520 which is about 2 years old and is a wonderful product. So much so that when our second child in the way that Philips decided to get another monitor so we could have one in each child's room. We ask for the SCD525 thinking it would be more or less the same as the SCD520 - after all, is just an updated version, and looks almost identical, right?
We made a lot of use of the lullaby feature in SCD520. Plays for about 15 minutes and then shuts down. In the SCD525, the lullaby plays for only about 3 or 4 minutes before shutting down. This is not nearly enough time - not many children will be asleep after only a few minutes most of the time. Moreover, unlike the sound quality is crystal clear in our SCD520, SCD525 had the great expectations / zoom (and yes I tried with the other monitor off too) - not what I expect from an expensive digital monitor. I called Philips customer service and they were very helpful. They agreed that the lullaby is played for more than a few minutes and sent me a replacement monitor.
Well, the replacement was exactly the same as the original, both in terms of the lullaby short and poor sound quality. I called Philips again and after waiting about 2 weeks for a response from top-level support turned the word lullaby is supposed to only play a few minutes -. "Feature" in other words, a Uh -huh. I think you have a bug in the firmware. So I went back to the replacement of Philips, the original Amazon, and then purchased the SCD530, with which I am very happy (no one bought it first because I had no need for the function and wanted to save a hygrometer little money).
In short, the SCD520 SCD530 and are good products, SCD525 not.
